tours are the perfect outdoor Maine vacation. These tours follow a beautiful route along the Maine Island Trail, a network of coastal islands. Day trips are popular with visitors to Acadia National Park. Day outings include half-day, full day, 5 hour solo kayak tours, family half-day trips, 2 1/2 hour sunset & harbor tours. Full day and longer tours often include the opportunity to sail as well as paddle your kayak. Private tours and custom tours for groups are a specialty.
Registered Maine Guides lead all tours. Most tours are accompanied by two guides to insure personal service and attention. Their Guide staff is made up of well trained outdoor leaders, many of whom are naturalists. They have some truly talented folks on their guide staff. These folks offer some of the smallest group sizes and highest uide-to-guest ratios in the outfitting business. This translates into personal and quality service for their guests.
Beginners are welcome and encouraged. They provide all instruction and will help develop your paddling skills quickly. Folks are amazed how quickly they catch on. All equipment, (meals on extended tours) ground transportation is provided. The kayaks are large super stable Sea-kayaks with foot controlled rudders. Most tours use tandem (two-seater) kayaks although they now offer special solo kayak tours as well.
